Seal Walk @ Cupsogue Beach
January 31 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Please note, this event is for registered for Nature Initiative members only. To learn more about our youth program, click here.
Come join us to learn more about seals, and the procedures of recording counts, species, behavior and other relevant observations. This particular area along the path at Cupsogue is known as a seal haul out spot- there is a large sandbar that these animals seem to enjoy sunbathing on. There isn’t necessarily a guarantee to see seals in the wild, but we will certainly try and pick up marine debris along the way that could be adversely affecting the habitat of these animals.
**Due to the further drive, parents are welcome to stay and follow behind our group for this event
