Nissequogue Harbor Day

September 7 @ 10:30 am - 3:00 pm

Please note, this event is for registered for Nature Initiative members only. To learn more about our youth program, click here.

The Village of Nissequogue and The Friends of Stony Brook Harbor, a coalition of neighbors from Head of the Harbor, Nissequogue and Stony Brook, will host Happy Harbor Day to raise awareness of the beautiful, yet fragile Stony Brook Harbor. This is an annual outreach event to educate the public about the harbor and ways to protect and conserve this resilient ecosystem. The Nature Initiative group will have a table accompanied by a seining activity on the beach. Come join us at the waterfront to see what we can find!  We’ll be meeting near the boat launch area at Long Beach in St James.

**Volunteers are welcome to sign up for a half day or full day since this is a longer event. If you are doing a half day, please email me with the time frame (10:30 AM-1:00 PM or 12:30 PM-3:00 PM) you would like to attend for after signing up.**
