AVALON ASANA

The Avalon Asana Yoga Program is open to all levels of practitioners, beginner through experienced, led by certified yoga teachers Jackie Incorvia & Laurie Frey.

**Avalon is not hosting any yoga classes until further notice.  Contact the instructors at their links below to find other locations where classes may currently be held.**

The classes incorporate a combination of standing, seated, and reclined postures, with the option to use props to better support participants. Participants will be led through postures that develop strength, flexibility, and balance, breathing practices that regulate the nervous system, and meditation and relaxation techniques to calm and clear the mind.

Meet Jackie

Jackie Incorvia has been practicing yoga since 2005 and teaching full-time since 2009. Jackie’s classes are generally an appropriation of the Ashtanga yoga sequence, but she draws from many other teachings and incorporates detailed alignment cues, breathing techniques, philosophy, mudra, and mantra, with influences from occupational therapy to acupressure to reiki, or energy work. Her own experience with pain and a curiosity about “how things work” have informed and inspired her studies of the human system, anatomically, physiologically, psychologically, energetically, and spiritually, uncovering myriad techniques to promote healing and harmony that she strives to share with others.
