POSTPONED due to rain/high winds

Hosted by Seatuck and the Jones Beach Nature Center, join Seatuck’s Senior Conservation Policy Advocate, John Turner, on an exciting beach bird walk! In a brief presentation within the nature center, John will discuss what birds you might find this time of year and some of the dangers they face, specifically dangerous window collisions.

After the presentation, you will take a guided stroll along the beach to see if you can find some winter birds. You can also check out first hand how groups like the Jones Beach Nature Center have taken precautions to minimize these bird collisions.

Since this event is a further drive, parents and families are welcome to attend.

WHAT TO BRING/FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS:

• Dress warm and bring extra layers! Winter jacket, hat, gloves, thick socks, winter boots or hiking boots
• Sunglasses
• Water bottle/snack
• Binoculars (I will have extra)
