The Center for Environmental Education and Discovery (CEED) in Brookhaven is holding its annual autumn equinox festival and celebration! They have asked for volunteers to help with multiple activities and craft tables, parking, tending to campfires, and possibly holding a live animal as Ranger Eric does a show for the kids! This year’s theme is autumn Wildlife Migration, with an educational focus on migratory butterflies, hawks, songbirds, whales, seals, dragonflies, and other animals.
You are welcome to come for part of the event or the entire time. If you can only do a half day, please follow up with an e-mail after signing up to specify what time you are arriving/staying until. We will be meeting at the Washington Lodge on South Country Road in Brookhaven.
