EVENT FULL

We will be cooking a couple of food items over a campfire, followed by an owl prowl. Don’t know what an owl prowl is? It is a nighttime hike where we will set to the trails and one of our fellow park staff members will do his best owl call! And hopefully the owls will respond! The most common owls we’ll call for at this time of year are Eastern Screech Owls and Great Horned Owls.

We will be meeting at the Avalon barn located on Shep Jones Lane in Stony Brook.

**The Earth and Outdoors Club from Smithtown HS East will be joining our group for this event.

What to bring/further instructions:

• Please dress warm and wear layers
• Sneakers or hiking boots comfortable for walking on the trails
• Headlamp/flashlight (I will have extra)
