RESCHEDULED TO SUNDAY 2/5
Enjoy the passiveness of winter as we hike the Fire Island Lighthouse trail. This is an out and back trail mostly on boardwalk and it’ll bring us to the beach in Fire Island National Seashore. We may be able to spot deer, small mammals, raptors, songbirds and shorebirds including some migratory species. As we reach the shore, we will work on our observation skills and do a group journaling activity. This is a unique opportunity to discover various habitats and landscapes, explore new trails, immerse ourselves in nature and challenge ourselves in a fun way!
We will be meeting in Robert Moses Field 5 parking lot.
