Virtual Winter Lecture Series: Long Island’s White Shark Research

January 21 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Please note, this event is for registered for Nature Initiative members only. To learn more about our youth program, click here.

Chris the “Fish Guy” will tell the story about a small group of researchers who were the first to deploy a satellite tag on a juvenile great white shark off of Long Island’s south shore and where that journey led them to today. We’ll also hear about which species of sharks swim in Long Island’s coastal waters and what researchers can learn from an animal by tagging them.

Please sign up early to ensure your spot! The Zoom link will be emailed to you after registering.
