EVENT FULL

Explore the far corners of the Earth in search of microplastic with top scientists, while we think about our relationship to plastics. Is the convenience worth the costs to wildlife and the planet? Students will have the opportunity to be a part of a global research movement to better understand this tiny threat that’s all around us…microplastic. As a science writer and artist, Erica’s work covering the story of plastic pollution in the oceans has taken her sailing twice across wide swaths of the Pacific, across the Atlantic, in Danish waters, in California’s waters, and around Iceland; to Southeast Asia, across the U.S. and Western Europe; the Caribbean; Polynesia and beyond.

Grab bags will be provided and available for pick up at Avalon (in advance) to go along with the presentation. Please sign up early to ensure your spot!

The Zoom link will be emailed to you after registering.
