We’ll be assisting Master Gardener, Maddy, alongside other volunteers, with getting rid of pesky weeds/vines, pruning and planting. This garden has been tended by many volunteers throughout the years and the upkeep of the shrubs, trees, herbs and perennials are needed to preserve the beauty that Edith Blydenburgh once saw looking out her bedroom window dating back many decades. This will take place on a bi-weekly basis throughout the summer months as a longer-term project effort in maintaining these beautiful gardens. Enjoy some gardening and a snack!
We’ll be meeting at Sweetbriar Nature Center in Smithtown.
