Remote Astronomy Overflow Event

June 13, 2020 @ 9:30 pm - 11:30 pm

The Avalon Observatories house several permanently mounted telescopes and are used in conjunction with educational programs here at Avalon. These include observing and imaging a variety of celestial objects and events including sunspots and solar flares. Our monthly programs have included the use of a portable planetarium in all weather conditions, and have featured a variety of portable telescopes on clear nights. The permanent Avalon Observatory enclosures allow us to make telescopes available on a moment’s notice and help us provide more frequent viewing opportunities.

OUR FIRST WEBEX REMOTE OBSERVATORY SESSION WAS A SUCCESS.

Reservations were filled to capacity. This program is for those who requested Webex access but were unable to attend.

AVAILABLE ONLINE ONLY.

MORE PROGRAMS COMING SOON!
