Each year, we raise Ring-necked Pheasant and Northern Bobwhite Quail here at Avalon. We will be releasing our first batch of pheasant at the barn on Wednesday, June 1st at 4:30 PM. Students and families are more than welcome to join us for this unique opportunity! You’ll be able to learn more about these birds, how they benefit the ecology of the landscape and the goals of this conservation project. If you are interested in attending, please email me: Kayla@avalonparkandpreserve.org. This won’t take more than half an hour so parents are welcome to stay.

We will be meeting at the Avalon Barn located on Shep Jones Lane in Stony Brook.
