Did you know that monarch butterflies can migrate over 2,000 miles? Mid September is when the fall migration starts to take place from our area. Jeanette, a member of the local community, has been raising and releasing monarchs for several years. She has even tagged them! Come join us as Jeanette does a talk about these butterflies, shows us some caterpillars she has, discusses the importance of milkweed, and why it’s so important to conserve these crucial pollinating insects. We will then go on a walk around the wildflower meadows to do some milkweed collection.
