Dive in to a 4-day session focused on exploring marine life beneath the water’s surface, learning more about our local estuaries, participating in field activities and getting on the water! If you love the ocean as much as I do, want to learn more about marine life, or are considering exploring a career as a Marine Biologist or a related field then this is a great opportunity!
We will be collecting samples of microorganisms, doing invasive species field experiments, exploring the intertidal zone, observing drone footage, assisting on a marine animal necropsy, kayaking, and meeting some really awesome professionals!
This program is first come, first serve! Please make sure you can commit to ALL four dates and times before signing up.
*Our meeting time on Friday, August 13th has been adjusted to coincide with high tide*
I am solidifying our itinerary of activities which will be emailed upon selection for the program.
Meeting locations will vary between the Avalon barn, Stony Brook harbor, and West Meadow beach.
