Dive in to a 4-day session focused on exploring marine life beneath the water’s surface, learning more about our local estuaries, participating in field activities and getting on the water! If you love the ocean as much as I do, want to learn more about marine life, or are considering exploring a career as a Marine Biologist or a related field then this is a great opportunity!
We will be seining and collecting fiddler crabs, exploring the intertidal zone, learning about what is involved in marine mammal strandings and rehabilitation, Long Islands shark research programs, and meeting some really awesome professionals!
This program is first come, first serve! Please make sure you can commit to at least two out of the four dates and times before signing up. Meeting locations will vary between West Meadow Beach, Stony Brook Harbor and the Avalon Barn.
