Invasive Species Pull at Frank Melville Park

May 6, 2021 @ 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Please note, this event is for registered for Nature Initiative members only. To learn more about our youth program, click here.

Come join us as we tackle garlic mustard, an easy to pull invasive plant species that is widespread throughout the park. At this time of the year it starts to develop seed pods, which is a primary way of re-populating. If we have some extra time, we’ll take a walk through the park and down to the bridge by Setauket Mill Pond to look for basking turtles!

Frank Melville is a beautiful & local preserve that we’ve done a lot of restoration work with and their always very appreciative for our volunteers! We will be meeting in the parking lot of the Bates House.
