Invasive Species Clearing at CEED
November 20, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Please note, this event is for registered for Nature Initiative members only. To learn more about our youth program, click here.
The Center for Environmental Education and Discovery (CEED) in Brookhaven is calling upon volunteers to help clear brush, invasive species and dead trees from the Washington Lodge’s historic swimming pool area- one of the largest swimming pools ever built in the country! Remnants of the pools foundation can be seen and CEED hopes to repurpose this area as a rain garden bird habitat with a possible outdoor gathering space. Be prepared to use loppers, pruning shears and other clipping tools to help clean out this area.
We will be meeting at CEED located on S Country Road in Brookhaven.
This project is eligible for Stewardship Superheroes- for more information click here
