EVENT FULL

Meet us at the beach for a fieldwork day; volunteers are needed to assist with the following tasks: cage cleaning/maintenance, measuring and recording growth rates, and analyzing water quality samples.  Seed oysters, clams and all equipment will be supplied for Nature Initiative volunteers. We will have two more monitoring sessions in September and then we will be removing our clams/oysters from cages to distribute them into the harbor in October.

We will be meeting at the beach area of the Stony Brook Yacht Club.

WHAT TO BRING/FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS:

• Clothing: water wicking clothing, rain boots or water shoes (we’ll have extra waders)
• Hat/sunscreen/bugspray
• Water bottle
