We will head to the trails at Frank Melville to pull stilt grass and plant native seed in its place. We’ll be doing an experiment in which we will try out our seed bombs in one area and plant seed by hand in an adjacent area to see which technique is more effective. This small, privately owned park relies on the extra hands of volunteers to help mitigate the unwanted invasive plants taking over the wooded areas. We will be meeting in the parking lot of the Bates House in East Setauket.
