Save the Great South Bay is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the revitalization of the bay through the creek defender program, oyster restoration, and advocacy for bay friendly yards. We’ll be joining one of the creek defenders for a cleanup at Stillman’s Creek in Blue Point. We’ll be heading out as a group with bags, pickers, gloves and a map of the clean up area while we log our trash picked up on the Clean Swell app . There are 50 creeks leading into the Great South Bay and this program is integral to preserving the health of this estuary.

 

WHAT TO BRING/FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS:

• Clothing: Please wear water resistant clothing or something that might get a little wet and layer up
• Rain boots/hiking boots/waterproof shoes
• Water bottle/snack
